Mattress Home is a fast-growing regional retailer focused on delivering exceptional customer service and quality sleep products. We’re looking for a talented Warehouse & Delivery Operations Manager to oversee warehouse logistics, lead delivery operations, and support seamless customer experiences.
Role Overview
This leadership role combines warehouse oversight, delivery coordination, and teamwork. You’ll also step in to operate delivery trucks and forklifts, manage inventory transfers between stores, and serve as the main liaison between warehouse, sales, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, and organization
- Safely operate a forklift and delivery truck as needed (e.g., if a driver is absent or to support store transfers)
- Coordinate and perform store transfers and door-to-door deliveries
- Lead the delivery team, ensuring schedules are met and quality service is delivered
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized warehouse environment
- Communicate directly with the sales team to provide timely updates on inventory, delivery schedules, and purchase orders
- Monitor equipment and vehicle maintenance needs and processes
- Implement process improvements to enhance operation efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license; safe and experienced delivery truck operator
- Skilled forklift operator (certification preferred or training available)
- Background in warehouse, logistics, dispatch, or operations management—preferably in retail (mattress or furniture)
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong communicator; able to act as a liaison between warehouse, delivery, and sales teams
- Capable of lifting up to 150 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with inventory/order management systems is a plus
